Fundraising for your Christmas Fair

Believe it or not, now is the time to start thinking about fundraising at Christmas time. 
 
Christmas is probably the best time of year for fund raising for schools, charities, clubs and pretty much anything that needs a cash injection!  At Christmas time we are on the lookout for items that will make ideal gifts to go under the tree and happy to spend that little bit more on something a bit different.  This is where eco printing from A Local Printer can help with your fundraising!

Designing your own card is fun and easy!
If we take greeting card design in its simplest format all you need is a great photo and some words. When do we send most cards? Christmas.  The quickest and easiest route to a personalised card – a lovely photograph of a snow scene or festive setting and you are more than half way there. If you don’t have the technical savvy to add a message to the front of the card (ask yourself first if it really needs one, it might be obvious what it is all about) just supply the words and ask your greeting card printer to sort it out for you.  Most will do this for a small charge.

Normally I would be writing a blog about Swing Tag Printing, but in truth these are actually Gift Tags that were printed with matching wrapping paper. Looking back through our artwork archives Gift Tag printing to accompany wrapping paper is a product that we print on a regular basis. After all it does make perfect sense - matching tags and wrap go hand in hand. And with our gift tag printing only costing £50 for 500 they do make a cost effective add on for our retail customers.

All of our gift tags are printed on 300sm silk art or 100% recycled boards (all from sustainable sources) and printed with vegetable oil based inks for an eco friendly product that looks good and does good.

Wrapping Paper Wrapped Up

Along with the printed notebooks we sell my other big favourite product is bespoke wrapping paper - needless to say there is never any shortage at our house on birthdays, Christmas and other 'wrapping' occasions. But other than wrapping presents (yay)! What can left over wrapping paper be used for?  Luckily there are plenty of websites with lots of top ideas on how to use up your left over wrapping paper. Ranging from complicated (probably just for adults) to simple enough for children to do on their own there are lots of projects to choose from.  I particularly like handmade crackers, origami balloon lights and decoupage shoe boxes.

A rather lovely order for 10,000 litho postcards, printed with vegetable oil based inks on 100% recycled board. The colours in the supplied artwork work really well on the recycled board and create a very nice soft, organic look and feel that still retains some freshness. Our postcard printing is on 300gsm coated silk or uncoated boards for two different looks - one of which is bound to suit!
