In terms of design we are seeing starting to see a new and interesting trend when it comes to greeting card printing; the initial designs are generally simple text based messages or graphics which are then finished off with the addition of hand applied embellishment – such as badges, stick-on features, diamante, feathers, decoupage, buttons, dried flowers and even mini knitted baby clothes!
We are also seeing an increased interest in neon printed cards. Neon is printed with litho inks rather than digital toner to ensure the result is the ‘sunglasses bright’ that we all know and love. Our new range of neon greeting cards are available in four sizes and on four papers – including kraft! Neon printed on its own makes for a fabulous text based card, but with the addition of black as a second colour the design opportunities open right up.

Finally, there is no denying that the abusive greeting card (wrapping paper, mugs, badges, t-shits etc) has taken the retail industry by the neck and given it a good shake. Love it, laugh at it or loathe it the rude card is here to stay – and from the amount of printing we do it appears to be here to stay!
