Unique Design v Off the Shelf Artwork

Unique Design v Off the Shelf Artwork

Unique Design v Off the Shelf ArtworkOur life is spent being unique; ensuring that we are seen as individuals, whether it is through our appearance, beliefs, experiences or ideals.

In our work life as well we strive to differentiate ourselves from the competition. Better pricing, newer models, more functions, wider choice.  So why then do so many businesses opt for a cheap ‘off the shelf’ me-too design to promote their company, products and services?

You know the ones – choose a font and a picture and a simple layout and hey presto your latest marketing promotion is born. Along with all the others that have exactly the same look and feel. There is a place for this type of ‘designing’ of course. But promoting your business is an investment designed ultimately to make you more money. As a tool with the potential to increase your revenue, surely your marketing material should be given a bit more consideration? It defines who and what you are and is the juicy worm on the hook when fishing for new customers.

At A Local Printer we have a design studio specifically for creating unique marketing tools for our customers. Each new project is managed on a one to one basis, with a lead designer taking responsibility for your project from start to finish. Sounds expensive? Think again. All of our design work is priced on a time spent basis, rather than by conjuring up a figure for the project based on speculation. So if it takes three hours that is what is charged.

As a design studio within a printing company we also know exactly what will work well in print and what won’t. It is sad to say that we have often been presented with professional artwork that simply will not translate in to ink on paper. Awkward for us and costly for our customer.

So before you embark upon your next marketing promotion think again about the design element involved. Would you rather be a pigeon amongst a flock of pigeons, or a beautiful bird of paradise kicking up a storm?!
